DH Turkey Giblet Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 10 Turkey Livers
  • 10 Turkey Gizzards
  • 10 Turkey Hearts
  • 7 Turkey Necks
  • 2 Cubes of Butter
  • DH Seasoning
  • Vegetable Oil
  • 6 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine all giblets and necks and generously season with DH Seasoning.
  3. Place in a cooking bag with one cube of butter and 1/2 cup of water. Seal the cooking bag and place it in a roasting pan.
  4. Rub the turkey with vegetable oil and cover it in DH Seasoning.
  5. Place one cube of butter and 1/2 cup of water inside the cavity of the turkey. Then, place it in a cooking bag in a separate roasting pan.
  6. Place the turkey and giblets in the oven.
  7. Remove the giblets after 35 to 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the turkey from the oven when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  9. Combine the turkey and giblet juices into a saucepan.
  10. Dice all giblets into quarter-inch to half-inch pieces, removing any gristle from the gizzards.
  11. Remove as much meat from the turkey necks as possible.
  12. Combine all neck meat and giblets into the saucepan with the juices.
  13. Combine 1/2 cup of water and 6 tablespoons of cornstarch.
  14. Heat the saucepan over medium heat until simmering, then stir in the cornstarch and water mixture until thickened. Add more water or cornstarch as needed for desired thickness.
  15. Serve the gravy over hot mashed potatoes and season with DH Seasoning to taste!
